Re-beginnings
Last week I was laid off from my position at a disability advocacy nonprofit, due to funding issues. In a time where DOGE cuts are decimating the nonprofit scene, this was not surprising, but still sad to be yet another neurodivergent disability advocate who has lost his livelihood. I was in good company, at least.
Yesterday I accepted an expanded position at the company I've been doing the D&D social skills groups with for the past 11 years. So, one door closes, and another has been waiting to be opened.
So now I will be working for this social skills org doing advocacy and outreach work, as well as running a handful of D&D groups. I'm honestly quite happy about this, as this is work that I've been long passionate about, and there's also better pay. So, I expect I'll have a lot more to write about soon, as a big part of my work will be around TTRPG groups.
Stay tuned!
